Al Jazira v Sharjah Clash Leads Matchweek 18 of the ADNOC Pro League

The ADNOC Pro League Matchweek 18th is set to see seven encounters taking place on Friday and Saturday, March 4th and 5th, as each side looks to gain some ground between keeping pace with the league's leading teams or moving up the standings.

The Shabab Al Ahli vs Al Wahda match will kickstart matchweek 18 at Rashid Stadium at 17:45 on Friday evening, as the hosts look to compensate for their loss against Sharjah last time out and maintain their place among the league's top four; meanwhile, Al Wahda will seek a sixth consecutive win for the first time since 2014.

The two teams have previously met in 25 matches in the ADNOC Pro League, with 10 wins for Shabab Al Ahli, compared to five for Al Wahda, with draws deciding the other ten matches, while the Dubai-based side scored 45 goals compared to 31 for Al Wahda.

At the same time, Al Ain will host Al Orooba at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium.

This will be the second clash between the two teams in the ADNOC Pro League - the first-round game ended in a 3-3 draw.

Al Ain hope to pull off their fifth consecutive win to maintain their lead at the top of the ADNOC Pro League table, as well as keep the six point cushion between them and second-placed Al Wahda.

On the other hand, Al Orooba look to secure their second win in the competition to move away from the relegation zone.

Friday's action continues with Al Jazira welcoming Sharjah at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium at 20:15pm, in a game open to all possibilities as both teams aspire to continue their rich vein of form in the competition.

The two teams have previously met in 23 League matches with 14 wins for the Pride of Abu Dhabi, compared to four for the guests, with draws deciding the other five matches.

Saturday will see Al Nasr welcoming Ras Al Khaimah’s Emirates at Al Maktoum Stadium for the 17:30 kick-off.

The hosts are in search of returning to winning ways, while the guests hope to move up a step away from the bottom of the league standings.

The two sides played against each other 17 times before in the ADNOC Pro League, with Al Nasr managing 12 wins, with only two wins for Emirates, and draws decided the other three games.

In parallel, Al Dhafra host Khorfakkan at Hamdan bin Zayed Stadium at 17:30pm.

Both teams faced each other five times before with each side winning two of the encounters, while a draw decided the last game.

Saturday's action continues when Al Wasl host Ittihad Kalba at Zabeel Stadium in the 20:15 kick-off.

Both teams clashed 13 times before in the ADNOC Pro League, with seven victories for Al Wasl compared to a solitary win for Ittihad Kalba, with draws deciding the other five matches.

Matchweek 18 concludes when Ajman host Bani Yas at Rashid bin Saeed Stadium.

The two teams have previously met in 15 matches in the Pro League, with seven wins for Bani Yas, compared to three for Ajman and tied in other five matches.
