UAE Pro League chairman Abdulla Naser Al Junaibi confirmed that the Commemoration Day is an expression of loyalty and appreciation to those who sacrificed their lives in defence of their religion and their homeland, and so that others can enjoy a safe life and we pray to God to have mercy on our martyrs and accept them in heaven. It is a dear occasion to our hearts, through which we send a message of appreciation to the brave Emirati soldiers, whose sacrifices were engraved in the memory of the country's citizens and residents.
Al Junaibi explained that the commitment of President of the UAE His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Their Highnesses Rulers of the Emirates, to support the families of the martyrs and provide them a decent life is an evidence of the leadership’s appreciation for the sacrifices of the nation’s loyal sons and an affirmation that the nation does not forget its heroes who sacrificed their lives in the fields of pride and human duty, so that the UAE flag continues to fly high. He stressed that martyrdom is the highest the degree of devotion and dedication to the homeland, and that the biography of any martyr and his devotion reflect the noble principles and values that were instilled in him at an early age. Therefore, we always thank the families of the martyrs who sacrificed their sons to the homeland and pray God to reward them for their solace and patience.
He highlighted the keenness of all UAE residents to participate in the Commemoration Day, as the UAE is home to over 200 nationalities, who live under its umbrella of tolerance and humanity, which sends a clear message to the world that the UAE is the homeland of coexistence, peace and love.
The UAE Pro League chairman said that the Commemoration Day represents a glorious day for the nation that unites the different segments of the UAE society in honor of the nation’s heroes and in appreciation of their sacrifices. He added that our beloved country will remain an embodiment of loyalty and will continue to support its sister countries in times of crisis and challenges, and that this day will remain engraved in the memory of the UAE people as they commemorate those who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the homeland, explaining that it is an indication of the strength and unity of the UAE’s social fabric, and reflects the country’s national cohesion which enhances its security and stability on all levels.
