The game opened with high energy, as Al Wahda's Guanca netted the first goal from a penalty in the 19th minute. Al Jazira's response was swift, with Oumar Traore leveling the score in the 37th minute, ending the first half in a tense 1-1 deadlock.
The second half continued the match's thrilling pace. Ahmad Noorollah regained the lead for Al Wahda in the 55th minute, only for Al Jazira's Bruno De Oliveira to equalize again in the 71st minute, despite Al Jazira being a man down after Ali Mabkhout's 63rd-minute red card.
