23 assists show dominance of team play in ADNOC Pro League

Team play and altruism have been two of the dominant features in the early weeks of ADNOC Pro Leagues where 23 assists were provided contributing in 79% of the scored goal tally.

These numbers can be put down to several factors such as the constant development of players’ technical abilities and the harmony among teammates that help them take the shortest way to the opponents’ box and find the back of their net in style.

Ajman’s Brazilian Leandro is leading the list of players who provided the most assists with three decisive passes he made in his team’s first fixture against Al Nasr to send a clear message that he will shine as one of this season’s most important key players for his side.

Al Nasr’s Diaa Saba and Ryan Mendez share the second place with Al Wahda’s defender Mohamed Barqesh who got off to a great start this season, with the three of them having made two assists so far.

14 more players managed to provide one assist in the first two matchweeks, as the list comprises:

Dodô and Yousef Al Ameri (Khorfakkan)

Bandar Lahbabi, Kodjo Laba, and Kouame Autonne (Al Ain)

Bernard (Sharjah)

Thulani Serero and Ali Mabkhout (Al Jazira)

Carlos Eduardo, and Mohamed Juma (Shabab Al Ahli)

Fabio Lima, and Salem Al Azizi (Al Wasl)

Touzi (Al Nasr)

Omar Khribin (Al Wahda)
