Defending League Champions title, Al Jazira will take on President’s Cup winners Shabab Al Ahli.
The UAE Pro League decided on the slogan for the one-off match in the first week of January.
The slogan “UAE, WHERE THE WORLD MEETS” is meant to emphasize the position of the UAE, which has become the centerpiece of international forums, and the destination of the largest and most important events on earth.
The UAE has been a host to countless top-level quality sports events and conferences, which brought together an array of officials and sportspersons from across the globe.
In addition, the UAE hosts The UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the Global Climate Summit (COP 28) in the period between November 6 to17 2023.
The UAE Pro League has decided that the Super Cup will kick off at 7:45 pm on January 7, 2022.
The match will be played with fans attending the stadium and completely adhering to all COVID-19 safety measures laid down by the authorities.
First held in September 2008, this season’s 14th edition of the Super Cup is known for its intensity and quality. It brings forth the winners of the President’s Cup and the defending champions of the League title.
The UAE Pro League has already embarked on the organization of the Super Cup with the launch of the promotional and marketing campaign for the Competition.
The UAE Pro League has already comprised working teams and committees to look into the organizational aspects of the Super Cup. These have been tasked with organizing activities inside and outside the stadium so that the Competition has the feel of a genuinely high-level event on the football calendar of the UAE.
The UAE Pro League has also been in close liaison with both clubs, along with the management of Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, to maintain the high standards of the Competition
