The mini-league of Pro League Cup to decide the positions from fifth to eighth concluded on Friday with Ittihad Kalbaa snatching a hard fought 1-0 win over Ajman to finish fifth, while Al Wasl secured a 1-0 home victory over Al Nasr to claim sixth spot.

The hosts broke the deadlock ten minutes before the two teams headed to the dressing rooms for the break.
Ayman Rchoq cut in from the right flank and swung in a perfect cross to Jhord Bayron, who drilled a swerving strike into the far corner from inside the penalty area.
The 1-0 victory helped them to finish fifth with seven points after pulling off two 1-0 wins over Al Wasl and Ajman respectively and playing out a 1-1 draw against Al Nasr.
On the other hand, Ajman finished their adventure in the Pro League Cup in seventh place with just three points after opening their campaign in the mini-league with a 1-0 win over Al Nasr, before suffering two consecutive defeats from Al Wasl (0-4) and Ittihad Kalba (0-1).
Al Wasl vs Al Nasr (1-0)
Al Wasl pulled off a 1-0 home win over Al Nasr, taking their tally to six points and finishing sixth.
The hosts had to wait till the 54th minute to open the scoring when Al Nasr's defender Glauber Siqueira failed to properly clear Michel Araujo's cross and saw the ball fall to Gilberto Oliveira, who rammed it into the empty net.
On the other hand, Al Nasr sit eighth with just one point after kicking off their campaign with a 1-0 defeat to Ajman, before playing out a 1-1 draw against Ittihad Kalba, as well as another 1-0 defeat by Al Wasl.
