Diaby brace as Al Jazira win big against KhorFakkan

Abdoulay Diaby struck on either side of half-time as Al Jazira swamped KhorFakkan 4-0 in eleventh round action of the ADNOC Pro League, on Saturday.

 


Though born in France, the 30-year-old striker who represents his native Mali, Diaby opened the scoring for Al Jazira in the 25th minute, and then added a second in the 77th minute to wrap off a fine three points for the Pride of Abu Dhabi.

 


In-between former UAE national team playmaker Ahmed Fawzi scored in the 41st minute, while Abdullah Ramadan got his name on the score-sheet in the 50th minute to assert Al Jazira’s dominance as the ‘Tolerance and Coexistence’ week kicked off.

 


The win took Al Jazira into a temporary third place with 19 points, while KhorFakkan stayed put in mid-table with 15 points.
