The Technical Committee of the UAE Pro League has agreed to postpone the return leg of the UAE Pro League Cup first round between Al Wahda and KhorFakkan till November 7.
Al Wahda had submitted a request for a postponement of their return leg against Khorfakkan that was initially scheduled for October 26, due to their hectic schedule caused by their participation in AFC Champions league besides ADNOC Pro League and Pro League Cup competitions.
Having considered Al Wahda’s tight schedule, the Technical Committee approved the Clarets’ request allowing them to play the domestic Cup tie at 6 pm on November 7 (Sunday), the team is set to travel to Saudi Arabia for their AFC Champions League quarter-finals against Al Nassr that is to be hled at Riyadh’s King Saud University Stadium at 7 pm, on October 16.
The technical committee approval of the delay comes as part of UAE Pro League's support of Al Wahda's campaign in AFC Champions League and demonstrates the UAE Football Association unconditional backing of all teams representing UAE at the continental level.
