Khorfakkan will host Al Wahda at Saqr Bin Mohammad AlQassimi Stadium in the first leg of this season's UAE Pro League Cup opening fixture on Friday, with the rest of the first round's fixtures scheduled for October 15 and 16.
Ittihad Kalba will face Al Orooba, Al Ain will play Emirates, while Ajman will take on Sharjah on October 15.
The next day will witness the fixtures; Al Dharfa Vs. Al Nasr, and Baniyas Vs. Al Wasl.
UAE had earlier approved the dates of the league cup competition scheduling Al Wahda's game a week earlier than the rest of the fixtures, as the governing body was keen on giving the team enough time to prepare for their AFC Champions league clash against Saudi Al Nasr on October 16.
12 teams will be competing in the preliminary stage of the Cup tournament, meanwhile, reigning champions Shabab Al Ahly and last season's league champions Al Jazira have automatically secured their berths in the quarter finals of the competition.
As per the competition's new system, teams that don't proceed to the quarter-finals ,will compete in a one-round league to occupy places from 9th to 14th.
Whereas teams failing to qualify for semi-finals will also play each other to fill in rankings from 5th to 8th.
UAE Pro League has scheduled the first round return legs for October 25 and 26, while fixtures determining the rankings from 9th to 14th are set to be held on November 12 and 26, December 4 and 9, and January 23 of the next year.
