F. Kruspzky scored a dramatic stoppage time goal to give Al Wahda a 2-1 hard-earned win over Al Bataeh in matchweek 17 of the ADNOC Pro League on Saturday.
Six minutes after the break, the hosts found the breakthrough and took the lead when Matheus Pereira sent a low cross into the penalty area, where Sebastian Tagliabue met with a brilliant backheel finish into the back of the net.
Three minutes after the hour-mark, Al Bataeh were awarded a penalty kick as Lourency Do stepped up and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way to hit the equalizer.
F. Kruspzky left it late and scored at the death when he timed his run perfectly to head in Matheus Pereira's cross to seal the victory for Al Wahda.
The result means that Al Wahda sit fifth with 34 points, while Al Bataeh are eleventh with 15 points.
