Al Bataeh Secure Thrilling 3-2 Win Over Al Jazira in ADNOC Pro League

Al Bataeh achieved a hard-fought 3-2 win against Al Jazira in a nail-biting end to matchweek 17 of the ADNOC Pro League at the Khalid Bin Mohammed Stadium on Saturday.

This marks a significant milestone for Al Bataeh with their first win against Al Jazira in the league. The victory pushed Al Bataeh up to seventh place in the standings, accumulating 22 points, while Al Jazira faced a slight setback, dropping to eighth place with 19 points.

The game kicked off with an early advantage for Al Jazira, as Zayed Alameri quickly found the breakthrough when Al Bataeh's defense failed to properly clear Neeskens Kebano's cross as he pounced on the ball to put Al Jazira ahead after eight minutes.

Petrus Boumal leveled the scoring for Al Bataeh as he fired a precise shot from inside the box in the 27th minute.

A clinical finish from Mohammad Juma Eid put Al Bataeh ahead and turned the game on its head in the 49th minute, scoring his first league goal for the team after transferring from Shabab Al Ahli.

As the game progressed, Al Jazira managed to level the score once again in the 82nd minute through Zayed Sultan, who skillfully converted a chance from the edge of the box, rekindling hopes for the visiting team.

However, in a dramatic turn of events, Alvaro De Oliveira emerged as the hero for Al Bataeh, netting a decisive goal in the 92nd minute, thus ensuring a memorable win for his team.
