Caio Lucas rescued a point for Sharjah, who came from behind to draw 1-1 with Al Nasr in matchweek 13 of the ADNOC Pro League on Sunday.
Al Nasr took the lead in the 30th minute when Adel Taarab made a nice move from the right flank toward the penalty area amid defensive chaos as Darwish Mohammad inadvertently converted the ball into the back of his own net.
Sharjah hit the equalizer in the 79th minute when they have been awarded a penalty kick after Caio Lucas was brought down by Samir Memisevic inside the penalty box, prompting the referee to point to the spot. The Brazilian forward stepped up and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way to make it 1-1.
The result means that Al Nasr sit 12th with 8 points, while Sharjah remain top of the league's table with 27 points.
