A goal from Abdoulay Diaby and a brace from Ali Mabkhout handed Al Jazira a 3-0 win over Ajman at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in matchweek 22 of the ADNOC Pro League on Friday.
The Pride of Abu Dhabi needed just 17 minutes to open the scoring after some great teamwork between Diaby and Mabkhout ended with the former dispatching a low finish past the goalkeeper.
Mabkhout doubled his side's lead in the 37th minute when Abdulla Ramadan chipped a ball over Ajman's defence into the penalty area, where the Emirati international met it with a clinical finish.
The ADNOC Pro League's all-time top scorer grabbed his brace 17 minutes from time when he met Mohammed Jamal's through pass with a smart finish into the back of the net.
Al Jazira moved up to the second spot with 45 points, while Ajman are ninth with 28 points.
