A last-minute goal from Adel Taarabt helped Al Nasr steal a 2-2 draw against League leaders Shabab Al Ahli at Al Maktoum Stadium in matchweek 23 of the ADNOC Pro League on Tuesday.
The visitors took an early lead after ten minutes when Yahya AlGhassani was put through on goal after a superb assist by Azizjon Ganiev as the former kept his composure and chipped it over the goalkeeper, to make it 1-0.
Just two minutes later, Al Nasr drew level when Abdoulaye Toure picked up the ball inside the box and skipped past Shabab Al Ahli's defenders before hooking a stinging shot in from a tight angle.
Four minutes after the hour-mark, Federico Cartabia put his side ahead again when he fired a stunning long-range strike from outside the box into the back of the net.
Adel Taarabt grabbed the equalizer in the 89th minute when he controlled the ball with his chest before firing a brilliant bicycle kick into the top corner of the net, to make it 2-2.
The result means that Shabab Al Ahli are still at the top of the ADNOC Pro League's table with 50 points, while Al Nasr are ninth with 24 points.
