Hatta Relegated Following Goalless Draw with Sharjah in ADNOC Pro League

Sharjah and Hatta played out a goalless draw in matchweek 23 of the ADNOC Pro League, each earning a point in a fiercely contested match. This result places Sharjah in sixth position with 35 points, while Hatta, earning just their eighth point this season, has been officially relegated to the First Division.

During the first half, Sharjah enjoyed superior possession but struggled to convert their control into goals. The team's best chances came from Khaled Aldhanhani, whose 34th-minute attempt struck the outer net, and Caio Lucas, whose 41st-minute shot was adeptly saved by Hatta's goalkeeper, Salam Khairi.

In the second half, Caio Lucas continued to press for a breakthrough but was thwarted by Khairi’s impressive goalkeeping. Hatta looked to take advantage of Sharjah being down to ten men after Majid Surour received a straight red card in the 69th minute, yet they failed to capitalize.

A late drama ensued when Sharjah was awarded a penalty in the 82nd minute, but the decision was overturned after VAR consultation, leaving the teams level.

As the match neared its conclusion, Sharjah’s goalkeeper, Khaled Tawhid, played a crucial role in keeping the score level by stopping two close-range shots in the dying minutes.
