During the first half, Sharjah enjoyed superior possession but struggled to convert their control into goals. A late drama ensued when Sharjah was awarded a penalty in the 82nd minute, but the decision was overturned after VAR consultation, leaving the teams level.
As the match neared its conclusion, Sharjah’s goalkeeper, Khaled Tawhid, played a crucial role in keeping the score level by stopping two close-range shots in the dying minutes.
