Al Jazira Bid Farewell to Mabkhout with 2-1 Win Over Al Ain

Al Jazira secured a 2-1 win over Al Ain at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi during Matchweek 26 of the ADNOC Pro League. This match was especially significant as it marked the final appearance of Ali Mabkhout for Al Jazira, as he is set to leave the team at the end of the season.

Al Ain took an early lead with a goal from Hazem Abbas, who struck a powerful shot from outside the box in the 21st minute. At 19 years and 76 days old, Abbas became the second-youngest player to score in the league this season, just behind his teammate Abdoul Karim Traore, who scored at 19 years and 64 days.

Al Jazira equalized in the 46th minute when Oumar Traore found the net, assisted by Ali Mabkhout, who skillfully set him up inside the penalty area. Notably, Mabkhout has assisted seven of Traore's 13 goals in the ADNOC Pro League this season.

The decisive goal for Al Jazira came from Richard Akonnor in the 59th minute, sealing the 2-1 victory.

This match was a fitting send-off for Ali Mabkhout, whose contributions have been instrumental throughout his tenure with Al Jazira.
