Bani Yas asserted their return to winning ways with a stunning 4-1 demolition of Shabab Al Ahli in the 12th round of the ADNOC Pro League, late on Thursday.
Hamdan Al Kamali was the quickest to react as he found the back of the net to put Shabab Al Ahli in the clear in the very fifth minute of the match.
But, Mahdi Ali’s men seemed to lose their concentration as Fawaz Awana Al Mesabi remained unmarked to get the equalizer for the home team during injury period of the first half.
Bani Yas nudged ahead in the 70th minute when Khamis Saleh Al Hammadi provided for Suhail Ahmed Al Noobi to score.
The home team then found two goals within three minutes as Nicolas Gimenez (84th minute) and Mohammed Rashid Al Hammadi (86th) put things out of reach for the Knights.
This was only the fourth win for Bani Yas, who now climb towards mid-table with 15 points, while Shabab Al Ahli remained with 20 points.
