Shabab Al Ahli Secures Dominant 4-1 Win Against Ittihad Kalba in ADNOC Pro League

Shabab Al Ahli delivered an impressive performance, defeating Ittihad Kalba 4-1 in matchweek 20 of the ADNOC Pro League. This win propelled Shabab Al Ahli to second place in the league standings, with 40 points, while Ittihad Kalba remains ninth with 20 points.

The game started with an early lead for Ittihad Kalba when Andres Vombergar capitalized on a pass from Mehdi Ghayedi to score in the 5th minute, marking his third consecutive scoring appearance. The dynamics of the game shifted dramatically after Ittihad Kalba's Salem Rashid was sent off with a straight red card, which led to a penalty. However, Shabab Al Ahli's Munas Dabbur missed the ensuing penalty kick at the 39th minute mark.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, Ittihad Kalba held the lead until the first-half stoppage time when Shabab Al Ahli turned the game around. Yahya AlGhassani equalized in the 46th minute, followed swiftly by Saeid Ezatolahi who scored in the 50th minute, giving Shabab Al Ahli a lead heading into halftime.

Continuing their momentum in the second half, Shabab Al Ahli extended their lead with AlGhassani scoring his second goal of the match in the 70th minute. The scoring concluded with Igor Jesus Da Cruz netting the fourth goal in the 74th minute, following an intelligent assist from Dabbur.

This match underscores Shabab Al Ahli's scoring efficiency, particularly in the first half where they have been prolific this season, tying with Al Ain for the most first-half goals.
