Shabab Al Ahli came from a 0-1 down to defeat Al Wasl 2-1 on Monday in matchweek eleven of the ADNOC Pro League at Zabeel Stadium.
The hosts needed five minutes to break the deadlock when Gilberto Oliveira climbed above Shabab Al Ahli's defense to head in Salem Al Azizi's cross.
Four minutes later, the Dubai-based side hit the equalizer with a fabulous header from Yousef Jaber Naser.
Igor Jesus Da Cruz put Shabab Al Ahli ahead in the 20th minute when he fired a powerful strike from outside the box into the top corner after spotting that keeper Khaled Saif Alsenaani was well off his line.
The victory helped Shabab Al Ahli raise their tally to 25 points in the first spot, while Al Wasl's tally froze at 21 in the third place.
