A goal from Ismaeil Matar and a brace from Joao Pedro helped Al Wahda to secure a 3-0 home win over Dibba at Al Nahyan Stadium in matchweek nine of the ADNOC Pro League on Saturday.
Joao Pedro broke the deadlock and gave the lead for Al Wahda in the 35th minute when he flicked in a sweet goal with an off-balance header after a nice header pass from midfielder Lucas Pimenta.
Six minutes after the hour-mark, the Brazilian forward completed his brace when Luis Miguel teed him up as the former brilliantly dribbled Dibba's defense inside the box and curled a right-footed effort into the left bottom corner of the net, to make it 2-0.
Ismaeil Matar put Al Wahda 3-0 ahead in the 87th minute when he unleashed a superb free-kick that curled around the Dibba wall as it flashed into the top corner past Humaid Abdulla.
The victory means that Al Wahda sit second with 19 points, while Dibba remain bottom with only one point.
