Al Wahda defeated Iranian side Persepolis 1-0 at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Group E of the AFC Champions League on Monday.
Tim Matavz netted the winner five minutes into the game to help Al Wahda collect their third win from five games and reach the 10-point mark, two behind leaders Persepolis.
The UAE side edged a step closer towards the round of 16 ahead of their final group game against FC Goa on Thursday.
