Mohamed Khalfan struck late in injury time to earn Al Orooba a 2-1 win over Bani Yas at Fujairah stadium on Tuesday in matchweek 23 of the ADNOC Pro League.
Six minutes after the break, the hosts took the lead when Khalid Yahya swung in a brilliant cross from a corner into the penalty area, where Yusuf Olatunji turned it into the back of the net with a powerful header.
Bani Yas restored parity eight minutes after the hour-mark when Sasa Ivkovic met Gastón Suarez' cross with a powerful header into the top right corner.
Khalfan picked the ball in the left wing of the penalty area, before launching a strike into the top right corner of the net for the winner.
The result means Al Orooba are in 13th place on 14 points, while Bani Yas sit sixth with 30 points.
