Al-Nasr solidified their spot in the quarterfinals of the ADIB Cup with a resounding 4-1 victory over Ajman. The intense battle unfolded at the Al Maktoum Stadium in Gameweek Two after the teams drew 2-2 in their Gameweek One encounter at the Rashid Bin Said Stadium in Ajman.
The visitors took an early lead less than 11 minutes into the game after a brilliant team effort culminated with Kevin Andres finding the back of the net.
In the 27th minute, Iuri Jose Medeiros cemented his side's lead following a beautiful one-two with Adel Taarabt, before the former unleashed a powerful shot into the back of the net from a tight angle.
The momentum was with Al Nasr, and it was no surprise when they extended the lead in just 30 minutes when Manolo Gabbiadini poked the rebound into the bottom corner.
Four minutes before the time, Waleed Azaro reduced the deficit for the hosts after he timed his run perfectly to head in Soud Saeed's cross, to make it 3-1.
Manolo Gabbiadini grabbed his brace and the fourth for his side in the 71st minute when he was teed up by Adel Taarabt as the former brilliantly dribbled Ajman's defense outside the box and curled a left-footed effort into the back of the net, to make it 4-1 and to seal the win for Al Nasr.
