Shabab Al Ahli managed to claim a tough 1-0 victory over Al Dhafra in match-week 11 of ADNOC Pro League at Rashid stadium; a win that enabled the home side to recover the third spot of the standings, one point clear of Al Jazira.
Despite fully imposing their rhythm with a ball possession that exceeded 80%, Shabab Al Ahly failed to find the back of the net in the first half as they lacked decisiveness in front of the goal.
Their scoring attempts continued in the second half until they got lucky in the 72nd minute as Ahmed Nourollahi fired a rocket from outside the box that settled in the top right corner of Al Dhafra’s net securing his side a vital win that sent it back to the third place in the table on 20 points.
On the other side, Al Dhafra’s struggle continues as their 8 points gained in 11 match-weeks had them lie in 12th.
