The UAE Pro League decided to auction a number of players' shirts, which they wore in the Pro League Cup final between Al Ain and Shabab Al Ahli at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium on Wednesday evening.
The project, in collaboration with MatchWornShirt, will begin on Thursday and will continue for 10 days in order to give fans from all over the world the opportunity to purchase the shirts worn by Al Ain players who have been crowned champions of the Pro League Cup after a 5-4 win on penalties, clinching their second Pro League Cup title after the final ended in a 2-2 draw.
Buying the shirt the player wears during the game does not pose any health risk. MatchWornShirt removes traces of bacteria and DNA without damaging the fabric.
