Khorfakkan and Ittihad Kalba shared the spoils after playing out a 1-1 draw at Saqr bin Mohammad al Qassimi Stadium in Gameweek one of the ADIB Cup on Thursday.
Ittihad Kalba wasted no time and took an early lead in the 4th minute when Khorfakkan's defense failed to properly clear the ball, as it fell to Habib Al Fardan, who fired it into the back of the net.
Khorfakkan made it 1-1 before heading to the dressing rooms for the break when Saif Eddine Khaoui sent in an excellent cross from a corner that was nodded on by Tiago De Leonco's header for Lourency Do who was perfectly positioned at the far post to send it into the middle of the net.
It has been a cagey second half with few chances as the two clubs failed to pose a real threat to the goalkeepers.
Gameweek two between both clubs will take place on Friday, September 15th.
