Dibba and Al Bataeh Secure Place in 2022-23 ADNOC Pro League

The 2022-23 season of the ADNOC Pro League, will see the participation of Dibba, the champions of the UAE Football First Division League 2021-2022, and the newcomer Al Bataeh FC, "First Division League runner-up last season.

As for Dibba, the team proved its excellence after claiming the title of the UAE Football First Division League during the last season and being promoted to play in the ADNOC Pro League for the third time in their history.

The team managed to get 75 points throughout their adventure in the last season, which is the highest rate in the history of the competition, equaling Khorfakkan, that managed to achieve the same number of points in the 2007-2008 season.

Dibba have participated in the professional League for five seasons; starting in the 2012-2013, 2015-2016, 2016-2017, 2017-2018, 2018-2019 seasons, before clinching the First Division League title in the 2021-22 season.

On the other hand, Al Bataeh secured their place in the ADNOC Pro League for the first time in their history, after they have finished runners-up in the First Division League last season.

Al Bataeh became the 21st club that has had the opportunity to play in the Professional League since its launch in the 2008-2009 season. Al Orooba were the last team to join the ADNOC Pro League during the 2020-2021 season, after claiming the First Division League title.

Al Bataeh featured in three seasons in the First Division League, the first of which was in the 2019-2020 season when they finished third with 29 points.

The team also came third in the 2020-2021 season, with 38 points, only three points behind the runners-up "Emirates FC", before achieving the aspirations of their fans and finishing the last season in the second place with 67 points.

Al Bataeh needed about 10 years since its inception in April 2012, to secure a place in the ADNOC Pro League during the upcoming sports season, after they had officially won the runners-up spot in the 2021-2022 First Division League.
