Ajman fought back to play out a 1-1 draw against Al Bataeh at Khalid Ben Mohammed Stadium in matchweek 21 of the ADNOC Pro League on Friday.
Anatole Bertrand found the breakthrough and gave Al Bataeh the lead in the 29th minute when he ran onto a superb upfield pass from Joao Pedro to pick up the ball before firing a spectacular volley into the top right corner of the net.
The second half started with the visitors pressing for the equalizer, as Ajman got what they wanted just two minutes after the break, when Saeed Suleiman Salem sent an excellent cross to Waleed Azaro inside the box, as the latter used his first touch to thump his header past Zayed Ahmed.
The result means Al Bataeh sit in 12th place with 18 points, while Ajman are now sixth with 35 points.
