A brace from M. Marega and two goals from Luan Pereira and M. Ben Alarbi granted Sharjah a 4-1 win over Khorfakkan in matchweek 11 of the ADNOC Pro League on Friday.
It took just 33 seconds for Sharjah to break the deadlock with a superb first-time volley from Luan Pereira. It is the second-fastest goal for Sharjah in the ADNOC Pro League after Caio Lucas' goal against Al Orooba in October 2021.
Sharjah boosted their domination of the game with another goal when M. Marega controlled the ball on his chest before smashing the net with a right-footed effort in the 8th minute. For the first time in their history, Sharjah scored two goals in the first eight minutes in the ADNOC Pro League.
Rafael Pereira reduced the deficit for Khorfakkan when he timed his run perfectly to head in Antonio Junior's cross in the 28th minute.
A long-range strike from M. Ben Alarbi added the third goal for Sharjah before Marega's sensational finish made it 4-1.
The result means that Sharjah sit third with 20 points, while Khorfakkan are tenth with ten points.
