Al Ain and Sharjah shared the spoils at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in matchweek 17 of the ADNOC Pro League after playing out a 1-1 draw on Saturday.
Both teams were frustrated in a cagey first half of few goal-scoring chances but the two clubs found a higher gear after the break.
Laba Kodjo made it 1-0 in the 53th minute when he towered above Sharjah's defense to head in Bandar Al Ahbabi's brilliant cross.
Al Ain's lead did not last for a long time as Caio Lucas played a perfect pass to M. Ben Alarbi, who made no mistake and drilled the ball into the back of the net in the 56th minute.
The result means that Al Ain are second with 35 points, while Sharjah are fifth with 28 points.
