Al Orooba Relegated from ADNOC Pro League After Loss to Al Dhafra

Al Orooba have been relegated from the ADNOC Pro League after a 2-1 defeat by Al Dhafra at Hamdan bin Zayed Stadium on Wednesday.

Al Orooba needed just 15 minutes to take the lead when Gianluca Muniz floated a cross into the penalty area, where Mohamed Khalfan climbed above Al Dhafra's defence and fired a powerful header into the back of the net.

The hosts restored parity in the 28th minute when Khalfan picked up the ball inside the penalty area, before sending a low cross into the six-yard-box, where Waleed Ambar met it with a clinical finish.

Appolinaire Kack was sent off in the 40th minute when he brought Guilherme Vieira down outside the penalty area.

One minute from time, Suhail Al Mansoori killed Al Orooba's hopes when he curled a left-footed effort from inside the penalty area into the bottom right corner of the net to make it 2-1 and seal the victory.

This win confirms Al Dhafra stay in the ADNOC Pro League, sitting 12th with 24 points, while Al Orooba, who come 13th with 18 points, became the second team to be relagated form the League alongside Emirates.
