Al Dhafra secured their second consecutive victory in the 2026-27 ADNOC Pro League with an emphatic 5-1 win over United at Hamdan Bin Zayed Stadium on Friday in Matchweek 6.
Sory Kaba scored twice, while Dominique Mendy, Daraman Komari and Arielson Sampaio Galvao also found the net as the hosts delivered their biggest league victory in more than nine years.
The result lifted Al Dhafra to six points in ninth place, while United remained eighth with seven points.
Al Dhafra started strongly and took the lead in the 33rd minute when Mendy converted a penalty to make it 1-0.
United responded in the 40th minute through Willy Semedo, who scored from the penalty spot to bring the visitors level.
However, the hosts restored their advantage just one minute later as Kaba finished a counterattack to give Al Dhafra a 2-1 lead at half-time.
Kaba struck again three minutes after the restart, finishing a well-placed pass from Mohamad Ibrahim Alhamadi to extend the hosts' lead to 3-1.
Al Dhafra continued to dominate, with Komari adding the fourth goal in the 68th minute after meeting Kaba's delivery with a powerful header.
Substitute Arielson completed the scoring in the first minute of stoppage time, beating the United goalkeeper before placing the ball into the net.
The five-goal display marked Al Dhafra's first time scoring at least four goals in a Pro League match since March 2022 against Khorfakkan, and their first five-goal league performance since April 2017 against Dibba.
Al Dhafra had scored just three goals in their previous five league matches combined before matching that total by the 48th minute against United.
Despite the defeat, Semedo continued his productive start to the season, taking his tally to four goals and one assist in six ADNOC Pro League appearances.
