ADNOC Pro League week 7 action has commenced with a couple of early fixtures on Thursday, as Ittihad Kalba hosted Al Orooba, while Baniyas took on Khorfakkan.
Ittihad Kalba could secure an important 2-1 home win over Al Orooba that saw them claim their 7th point this season.
The home side made no secret of their interest in securing the game's full points grabbing a very early lead only 30 seconds into the game through their on-form Ousmane Camara, who had received a long ball at the edge of the penalty area before making a run into the box to strike a powerful shot making 1-0.
Kalba maintained the possession for most times of the first half but were unable to double their lead with another goal when Ahmed Amer hit the post in the 36th minute.
They could, however, find the back of the net once again in the second half when Camara retrieved the ball in midfield and made a wonderful sprint on the left flank providing an assist to Ahmed Amer who made it 2-0 for the home side.
Klaba were close to scoring a third goal in the 79th minute but the ball missed the net by inches before Al Orooba's Saeed Ali netted a consolation goal for his side in the 80th minute.
Following this victory, Kalba have proceeded to the tenth place in the standings while Al Orooba remain second to last on 3 points.
