Al Nasr thrash wounded Emirates 4-0

Al Nasr managed to claim a convincing and comfortable 4-0 away victory over Emirates late on the second day of ADNOC Pro League’s fifth match-week.

Al Nasr triumph could have been foreseen given the history of head-to-head clashes between the two sides, where hosts had had 11 wins ,whereas Emirates won only on two occasions.

The game started at a fast pace with both sides having early chances especially the Falcons, however, it remained goalless until the 32nd minute when the goal poacher Sebastian Tagliabue headed the ball into Emirates net, seizing a wonderful floated ball from Carvalho to net his 4th goal of the season.

Al Nasr's 2nd goal came in the 66-minute as a result of the brilliant individual work from Tagliabue on the right-flank before he provided the assist for the onrushing Carvalho who calmly slotted the ball past the stagnant Ali Saqr.

In the 87th minute, Al Nasr laid the game to rest with a wonderful breakaway goal involving Diaa Saba and Carvalho.

Saba picked up the ball on the left-wing and played a delightful ball to Antonio Carvalho who had made a powerful run from midfield into the box to score his second goal of the game.

To add insult to injury Al Nasr scored again in the 93rd minute after some intense pressure when substitute Mohammed Fawzi‘s exquisite cross found the other substitute Abdullah Anwar who easily headed he ball into the back of the net.

With this result, Al Nasr moved up to 5th in the table with 9 points whereas Emirates stayed rooted to the foot of the table with no points.
