Shabab Al Ahli's head coach Marko Nikolić said that his club's encounter against Al Duhail will boost relations between UAE and Qatar.
During the pre-match press conference, he said '' the UAE-Qatar Super Shield is a big tournament as it strengthen the relation between the two countries.
The Serbian coach added that he hopes that Shabab Al Ahli will be the first champions of the tournament.
'' We are ready for this game. For the first time in my career, I saw this large numbers of medal personnel and journalists, which proved the importance of this tournament at all levels,'' he added.
'' Al Duhail are a strong team as they have high quality players and head coach. There is no room for mistakes and we should be ready for the game,'' Nikolić concluded.
On his part, Al Duhail manager Christophe Galtier
expressed his pleasure over his presence in the UAE to face off Shabab Al Ahli on Saturday at Rashid Stadium in the UAE-Qatar Super Shield.
''We are happy to be in the UAE at Shabab Al-Ahli Club. The credit for our presence here goes to coach Crespo, who preceded me to train the team and win the league championship in Qatar,” he noted.
'' It will be the first super between both clubs and we will work hard to claim the title. As you know, it is a new challenge for us, especially since we are going through a season, which is not good for us,'' Galtier added.
"We know very well that we will face a strong team, which have good players. We followed some of their matches, but we will try to play a good game,'' the French coach said.
'' We suffered from some players' absence , but we have our solutions,'' he concluded.
