Khorfakkan faced tough challenges during the 2021-22 ADNOC Pro League season as they had to wait till matchweek 5 to pull off their first win.
Gabriel Metralla's men kicked off the campaign in the league with a 3-1 loss to eventual ADNOC Pro League champions Al Ain before being held to two consecutive draws in matchweek 2 and 3.
Starting from matchweek 6, Khorfakkan got ten points from three wins and a draw before losing their remaining fixtures of the first half, ending the first round of the league with 15 points from four wins, three draws, and six defeats.
Their performance levels did not improve in the second half of the league season as they ended the season with 28 points from eight victories, four draws, and fourteen defeats while scoring 38 goals and conceding 49.
Despite their low ranking, they came sixth in the chart of teams with most goals and sat third in the list of clubs with most headed goals with 11.
Raphael Guimaraes was their best player, scoring nine goals and making seven assists to rank fifth in the chart of players with the most assists.
