Al Wasl almost put one foot in the ADIB Cup's quarter-finals after defeating Hatta 7-0 at Zabeel Stadium in Gameweek one on Thursday.
Al Wasl needed 7 minutes to break the deadlock when Ali Saleh unleashed a swerving shot from the edge of penalty area into the top corner.
Two minutes later, Caio Canedo made it 2-0 after picking up the ball inside the box and slotting it into the bottom corner.
Fabio De Lima's sublime strike seven minutes after the break sealed the victory for the hosts, before hitting his brace in the 80th minute from the spot after stepping up and sending the goalkeeper the wrong way.
Two minutes later, Nicolas Gimenez curled a superb free kick from about 25 yards into the bottom corner to make it 5-0, before Adama Diallo adding the sixth goal in the 84th minute.
Four minutes later, Diallo wasted no time and hit his brace to make it 7-0 with a clinical finish from a close range.
Gameweek two between both clubs will take place on Friday, September 15th.
