Ajman Rally to Down Bottom Side Al Dhafra in ADNOC Pro League

Ajman produced a scintillating display as they eased to a 2-1 win over bottom Al Dhafra at Rashid bin Saeed Stadium in matchweek 24 of the ADNOC Pro League on Monday.

Ajman took an early lead after five minutes when M. Ben Alarbi made a brilliant cross inside the box to Waleed Azaro who fired a right-footed powerful strike into the back of the net, to make it 1-0.

The Moroccan striker turned from a scorer to a provider when he teed up Prestige Mboungou inside the box, as the latter kept his composure and lashed home a shot into the bottom corner to cap off a swift counter-attack, adding the second goal for the hosts early in the second half.

In the 71st minute, Leonard Offoe Amesimeku reduced the deficit for Al Dhafra after towering above Ajman’s defenders to thump a brilliant header into the back of the net from a close range.

The win saw Ajman jump up to the fourth place with 44 points, while Al Dhafra remain bottom with just 8 points and become the first relegated team from the ADNOC Pro League next season
