Shabab Al Ahli Claim 50% of Professional Season Titles

Shabab Al Ahli enjoyed overwhelming superiority during the competitions of the 2022-23 season after winning their 8th ADNOC Pro League title for the first time since the 2015-16 season, as well as claiming the U-21 Pro League trophy for the third time in a row.

Despite kicking off their adventure in the ADIB Cup from the quarter-final, the Dubai-based side failed to reach the semi-finals after being defeated by Al Jazira 4-5 on penalties following their 4-4 aggregate draw.

Leonardo Jardim's men played 26 matches in the ADNOC Pro League, winning 17, drawing 6, and losing just three games. They scored 53 goals and conceded just 25 to be the second-strongest defense in the league, and Cartabia was the top goalscorer of the team during their brilliant season with 11 goals.

Apart from the ADNOC Pro League, the Dubai-based side claimed their third consecutive U-21 Pro League title after topping the table with 61 points.

Shabab Al Ahli came second in the chart of clubs with the most U-21 Pro League trophies after Al Ain, who came first with seven titles. The list also includes Al Jazira, who won the first title in the 2008-09 season, Sharjah, who are the champions of the 2015-16 season, Al Wahda, who claimed the trophy in the 2016-17 season and Al Nasr, who won it in 2017-18 season.
