A goal from Ali Saleh and a brace from A. Diallo helped Al Wasl to secure a 3-0 home win over Bani Yas at Zabeel Stadium in matchweek 23 of the ADNOC Pro League on Wednesday.
The hosts found the breakthrough and took any early lead after just six minutes into the game when A. Diallo towered above the Bani Yas defense to thump a brilliant header into the back of the net.
Nine minutes after the hour-mark, A. Diallo grabbed his brace and cemented his side's lead when was teed up by Fabio De Lima inside the box as the Ivorian forward kept his composure and chipped the ball over the goalkeeper and into the back of the net to make it 2-0.
The momentum was with Al Wasl, and it was no surprise when they extended their lead and secured the three points when Ali Saleh fired in a rebound after De Lima's superb effort hit the crossbar.
The victory means Al Wasl sit fourth with 43 points, while Bani Yas remain 11th with 22 points.
