Ajman, Al Wasl play out goalless draw in ADNOC Pro League

Ajman and Al Wasl played out a goalless draw in the second early match of the eleventh round of the ADNOC Pro League’s ‘Tolerance and Coexistence’ round, on Saturday.

In an encounter that witnessed as many as seven yellow cards, it was visiting Al Wasl who could have returned back to Dubai with full points, had it not been for some gilt-edged chances wasted before goal.

However, Ajman did well not only to hold out for a valuable point at home, but also had at least a couple of opportunities to shock their more-fancied opponents from Dubai.

Referee Ahmed Salim Khalfan had a tough time in keeping a tight control on proceedings while flashing yellow on seven occasions, with the home team ending up with four cards compared to the three shown to Al Wasl players.

The draw ensured no movement for either team as Ajman took their tally to 15 points, while Al Wasl continued one spot lower with 14 points.
