Two goals from Hikal Chikhaoui and Gianluca Muniz were the difference for Ajman in their 2-0 home win over Emirates on Friday in matchweek 15 of the ADNOC Pro League.
Ajman did not need much time to take the lead as a wickedly swerving effort from Hikal Chikhaoui beat goalkeeper Suhail Abdulla Ibrahim into the top corner.
It is the first home goal for the Tunisian midfielder with Ajman.
Muniz poked the rebound off after Mohamed Ismail's first attempt was denied by the goalkeeper to seal the victory in the 88th minute.
The result means that Ajman sit 11 with 14 points, while Emirates are bottom with 5 points.
