Al Ain look to defend the ADNOC Pro League title in the new 2022-2023 sports season, after they delivered an outstanding campaign last season, in terms of team and individual stats.
Al Ain have made three high-profile signings this summer transfer window, adding select reinforcements to its midfield and attack.
1- Argentinian attacking midfielder Matías Palacios signed for Al Ain on a four-year deal, coming from Swiss Basel.
2-The ADNOC Pro League title holders Al Ain have signed former Dynamo Kyiv, Borussia Dortmund and West Ham United winger Andriy Yarmolenkoon on a one-year deal.
3- Moroccan youngster El-Mehdi Moubarik, coming from FUS Rabat, signed a five-year contract with Al Ain
The new signings aim to diversify the attacking styles of the team under the coaching command of Al Ain's manager Sergey Rebrov, who always strives to do better throughout all competitions.
The Ukrainian coach prefers to play with a 4-2-3-1 formation for much of his time as it is a balanced formation that puts enough emphasis on the attack while still fully taking care of the defense of the entire pitch. Rebrov played some encounters with the 4-2-2 formation.
Al Ain achieved great records during their adventure in the ADNOC Pro League as they topped the chart of most shots with 334 and most efforts on target with 160.
Al Ain trio Laba Kodjo, Soufiane Rahimi, and Cristian Guanca always posed a real threat to the competitors' goalkeepers.
With the presence of Palacios, Yarmolenko, and Moubarik, Al Ain have a prominent offensive line, as the trio has a superb scoring skill, which would make Al Ain the preferred team to claim several trophies.
