Sharjah were crowned champions of the UAE–Qatar Super Cup after defeating Al Gharafa 5–4 on penalties, following a 1–1 draw in normal time at Thani bin Jassim Stadium in Doha.
The first half ended goalless, with Sharjah enjoying the better attacking momentum and creating several chances, only to be denied by an outstanding performance from Al Gharafa goalkeeper Khalifa Ababacar.
Al Gharafa threatened early through a ninth-minute effort that was saved by Sharjah goalkeeper Adel Al Hosani, but Sharjah soon took control, forcing multiple saves through Ousmane Camara and Caio Lucas.
The match came to life in the second half. Al Gharafa broke the deadlock in the 64th minute when Florinel Coman found the net, moments after Sharjah had cleared a header off the goal line through Luan Pereira.
Sharjah responded strongly and drew level in the 73rd minute, as Luan Pereira produced a moment of skill to redirect a powerful effort with a clever back-heel finish.
Both teams continued to push, with Adel Al Hosani producing a key save to deny Joselu in the 75th minute, but no further goals followed.
The final was decided by a penalty shootout, where Sharjah showed composure to win 5–4 and lift the UAE–Qatar Super Cup trophy.
