Al Orooba Revive their Hopes of Survival, while Top Three Teams Maintain Winning Streak

Al Ain maintained their 10-point lead at the top of the ADNOC Pro League table, raising their tally to 61 points from 24 matches while Al Orooba revived their hopes of survival after securing a 1-0 win over Emirates, who become the first team to be relegated from the ADNOC Pro League after the end of matchweek 24.

 

 

 

Al Dhafra - Shabab Al Ahli

 

 

 

Yuri Cesar's penalty helped Shabab Al Ahli edge out Al Dhafra at the Hamdan bin Zayed Stadium, freezing Al Dhafra’s tally at 18 points in 12th place while keeping Shabab Al Ahli fifth with 36.

 

 

 

 

The Dubai-based side enjoyed the bulk of possession, launching seven efforts on target compared to just two for Al Dhafra.

 

 

 

 

Despite starting on the bench, Yuri Cesar delivered a brilliant performance, scoring a goal and creating four goal-scoring chances. Makhete Diop was Al Dhafra's best performer, producing several goal-scoring chances, but he failed to unleash a single effort on target.

 

 

 

Al Wasl - Ajman

 

 

 

At Zabeel Stadium, Ajman settled a six-goal thriller after sealing a 4-2 win over Al Wasl.

 

 

 

Al Wasl had 63% of possession, produced 16 attempts four of which were on target, while Ajman had six shots, four of which were on target and each found the back of the net.

 

 

 

Firas Ben Larbi excelled during the 90 minutes, grabbing a brace and making two assists.

 

 

 

Emirates - Al Orooba

 

 

 

Al Orooba ended Emirates' hopes of playing another season in the ADNOC Pro League to remain bottom with just ten points and mathematically doomed to relegation.

 

 

 

 

The Ras Al Khaimah-based side enjoyed 52% of possession, launching 13 shots four of which were on target, while Al Orooba had 48% of possession, making nine attempts, three of which were on target.

 

 

 

The hosts created nine goal-scoring chances, compared to just four for the visitors who managed to secure the three points.

 

 

 

 

Al Nasr - Al Ain

 

 

 


Al Ain maintained their 10-point lead at the top of the ADNOC Pro League after snatching a 1-0 win over Al Nasr at Al Maktoum Stadium.

 

 

 

 

The ADNOC Pro League champions enjoyed the bulk of possession and managed to translate it into a goal, while Al Nasr failed to find the back of the net, as Khalid Eisa managed to save their four shots on target.

 

 

 

 

Al Ain players won 54% of duels, compared to 46% for Al Nasr. Erik Jorgens was a model of efficiency, making three blocks and producing five interceptions.

 

 

 

 

Al Wahda - Ittihad Kalba

 

 

 

Al Wahda returned back to winning ways after securing a 2-0 win over Ittihad Kalba at Al Nahyan stadium.

 

 

 

The hosts were more dangerous, creating 15 goal-scoring chances compared to 11 for the visitors.

 

 

 

 

Al Wahda fired seven efforts on target, compared to five for Ittihad Kalba, while goalkeeper Mohamed Al Shamsi kept a clean sheet by making five brilliant saves.

 

 

 

Bani Yas - Sharjah

 

 

 


Sharjah secured their sixth consecutive win to secure their place in the second spot by crushing Bani Yas with four unanswered goals.

 

 

 

 

Sharjah had 60% of possession, scoring three goals in the first half from their three efforts on target, while Bani Yas had just two attempts on target during the 90 minutes.

 

 

 

Ben Malango made two assists, while his teammate Caio Lucas grabbed a brace. Sharjah excelled in aerial duels by winning 73% of them.

 

 

 


Khorfakkan - Al Jazira

 

 

 

Khorfakkan secured their place in the ADNOC Pro League by defeating Al Jazira 2-1 at Saqr bin Mohammad al Qassimi Stadium

 

 

 

Despite the Pride of Abu Dhabi's superiority in terms of possession with 71%, they launched just three shots on target, compared to two for Khorfakkan from the penalty spot and were converted into goals.
