The UAE finished top of Group B at Gulf Cup 27 after a 1-1 draw with Qatar on Wednesday in the third and final round of the group stage.
Qatar opened the scoring in the 33rd minute through Almoez Ali, who found the net from inside the penalty area.
The UAE responded before the break, with Ali Saleh scoring the equaliser in the final minute of the first half with a well-taken strike to make it 1-1.
Neither side managed to find a winner after the interval, and the draw was enough for the UAE to finish the group stage on top with seven points.
The UAE completed the group stage unbeaten, beginning their campaign with a 4-0 victory over Yemen, followed by a 3-0 win against Bahrain, before drawing with Qatar.
The results gave the UAE seven points from three matches and secured first place in Group B.
The UAE will now face Oman in the semi-finals on Saturday, with a place in the Gulf Cup 27 final at stake.
