UAE Pro League Holds First General Assembly Meeting of 2024–25 Season

The UAE Pro League convened its first ordinary general assembly meeting for the 2024–25 season on Friday, June 20, in Abu Dhabi.

 

 

The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Abdulla Naser Al Jneibi, Chairman of the UAE Pro League and First Vice President of the UAE Football Association, with the attendance of the UAE Pro League board members, club representatives, and executive officials.

 

 

In his opening speech, Al Jneibi praised the UAE's visionary leadership for providing unwavering support to the professional football structure.

 

 

He emphasized how the country's guidance and resources have paved the way for a thriving professional football system, elevating clubs and competitions to new heights in line with national aspirations.

 

 

 

Al Jneibi extended heartfelt congratulations to Shabab Al Ahli for their exceptional accomplishments, having claimed four titles: the ADNOC Pro League, the President’s Cup, the Emaar Super Cup, and the UAE-Qatar Challenge Shield.

 

He Praised Sharjah Club For Their achievement in Winning the AFC Champions League Two .

 

He also congratulated Al Jazira for winning the ADIB Cup, Al Nasr and Al Wasl for their respective UAE-Qatar Super Cup and Shield victories, and Al Wahda for securing the UAE-Qatar Challenge Cup.

 

 

Further praise was directed to Al Ain, winners of the Pro League U23, and best wishes were extended for their current participation in the FIFA Club World Cup.

 

 

 

Al Jneibi also commended Al Dhafra and Dibba on their promotion to the ADNOC Pro League, and thanked all clubs for their collective efforts throughout the past season.

 

 

 

The meeting included a comprehensive review of the 2024–25 season’s strategic developments and performance, covering key areas such as commercial partnerships, marketing growth, financial results, and training initiatives.

 

 

Al Jneibi also expressed his pleasure in meeting with members of the General Assembly, the representatives of professional clubs’ football companies, who have been instrumental in supporting the UAE Pro League in achieving its goals over the past period.

 

 

Additionally, he extended his gratitude to sponsors, rights-holding broadcasters, media representatives, and fans for their continuous support in driving the success of professional league competitions.
