The UAE Pro League signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) to enhance cooperation in the humanitarian and community fields, as well as other joint activities.

The MoU has been inked at the authority's headquarters in Abu Dhabi by the UAE Pro League Chairman His Excellency Abdulla Naser Al Jneibi and Hamoud Abdullah Al Junaibi, Secretary-General of the ERC.

The memorandum aims to enhance areas of cooperation and exchange of experiences, as well as making use of the services provided by the two parties in areas of common interest and the coordination between them concerning social responsibility programs and volunteer service.

As per the MoU, the UAE Pro League will contribute to the Authority projects' campaigns by promoting them during matches organized by the UAE Pro League and benefiting from the sports facilities, which will host the humanitarian campaigns' activities held by the ERC.

On his part, the UAE Pro League Chairman His Excellency Abdulla Naser Al Jneibi praised the ERC's efforts in serving humanity and relieving the suffering of the most vulnerable groups in light of its charitable initiatives and projects.

He also stressed that this memorandum affirms the keenness of the UAE Pro League and the professional clubs in strengthening the societal role.

Meanwhile, the Secretary-General of the ERC, Hamoud Abdullah Al Junaibi, hailed the UAE Pro League's initiative in boosting its humanitarian partnership with the Emirates Red Crescent.

He also added that the ERC is keen on enhancing partnerships with the state's bodies and institutions for a better future for humanitarian work, as well as guaranteeing a decent life for those targeted by the authority's activities.

"In this regard, the authority took further steps, as it believes in the importance of uniting the state's charitable efforts to ensure a better future for the humanitarian work," the Secretary-General of the ERC noted.

He affirmed that the authority would spare no effort in implementing the terms of the MoU to achieve its humanitarian, community, and voluntary goals.
