The UAE national team booked their place in the Gulf Cup 27 final after securing a 1-0 victory over Oman in Saturday’s semi-final at Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sports City in Jeddah.
Ousmane Camara struck the decisive goal in the 22nd minute, giving UAE the lead before they held firm for the remainder of the contest to seal their place in the showpiece.
The UAE will now face Saudi Arabia in the Gulf Cup 27 final on Tuesday, 6 October, at Alinma Stadium at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah.
It will be the UAE’s fourth appearance in the Gulf Cup final as they continue their pursuit of the title following another impressive performance against Oman.
UAE opened their Gulf Cup 27 campaign with a commanding 4-0 victory over Yemen before beating Bahrain 3-0.
A 1-1 draw with Qatar in their final group-stage match secured qualification for the semi-finals, where Camara’s strike against Oman proved enough to send the UAE through to the final.
