Shabab AlAhli produced a resounding 4-1 victory over Al Ain on Friday night at the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in matchweek 15 of the Arabian Gulf League held under the slogan "Human Fraternity" in celebration of the Human Fraternity Festival.
Carlos Eduardo opened the scoring for Shabab Al Ahli after converting from the spot in the 9th minute. It wasn’t until the 53rd minute when Federico Cartabia doubled the guests’ lead in the 53rd minute through a powerful left-footed effort.
Then Carlos Eduardo completed his brace in the 74th minute when he found the back of the net for a second time to make it 3-0.
Igor Jesus got his name on the scoresheet in the 82nd minute to make it 4-0 and put the win beyond any doubt.
Mohanad Salem reduced the deficit in the third minute of injury time, as Al Ain succumbed to 4-1 defeat.
Shabab Al Ahli raised their tally to 25 points and moved to fifth place, and Al Ain remained in sixth place on 24 points.
